Born on March 5, 1968, in Sochi, Russia, Grisha Agakhanyan is the first son of his father, Alexander Agakhanyan, and mother, Asya Kakosyan. Their first son is Andranik. After Grisha was born, the whole family moved to Yerevan, Armenia. At the age of three Grisha attended Nelson Stepanyan Kindergarden. At seven, he went to Anton Chekhov Public School #55 and Sayat-Nova Musical School on class fortepiano. Grisha graduated from the musical school in 1982, and those seven years had a profound effect on him.

In 1985, Grisha graduated from high school and enrolled at Yerevan State Medical Institute, on Dental Section. However, his studies were interrupted by his service in the Armenian Army. In 1988 Grisha was back to school to continue his studies. Grisha originally aspired to be a dentist, however, the young student also had musical aspirations, having been the product of childhood love of music and theater.

Grisha graduated from the medical institute in 1988 and worked in the dental office in Yerevan as a dentist. At the same time he began his career in the “Metro” theater. He was one of the founders of theater, and worked there as an actor for four years. After that he established a musical band “Asparez project” and became a first Armenian rap singer in Armenia. Six years of working in Artur Grigorian’s “Yergi Tatron” theater were very productive. However, Grisha left theater and with his friends from “KVN” Garik Martirosyan, Vardan Zadoyan, and Hayko started his new “TOP 10 OF RABIZ” project, produced by Artur Janibekyan. In 1998 Grisha scored his first major success and became more popular producing “TOP 10 RABIZ” CD. Nowadays,  “TOP 10 OF RABIZ” project has five CD albums. As many bright individuals, Grisha moved to the USA too. He has been living in Los Angeles since September 2000. It is not surprising for his career that he became one of the popular producers in ARTN (Armenian Russian Television Network), one of the biggest and famous Armenian channels.
