
Arsen Malkhasian
ARSEN MALKHASIAN – Danish-Armenian professional violin soloist, concertmaster, chamber musician and composer currently residing in Copenhagen. He is an in demand soloist and has often appeared with famous pianist, ensembles and orchestras. He is a private instructor and has many promising students in Denmark. Mr. Malkhasian started his musical journey at the prestigious Tchaikovsky School of Music studying under Inesa Melikyan. After his graduation from Tchaikovsky Mr. Malkhasian entered Yerevan State Conservatory of Music studying with world renown violin pedagogue Karp Dombayev who has also thought violin virtuosos such as Jean Ter-Mergeryan and Ruben Aharonyan. As a conservatory student in Armenia he was often invited to play as soloist at Yerevan Polytechnic University Hall and Bruysov University Hall.
Arsen Malkhasian has played in many cities in Armenia, Denmark, Sweden and USA. He has played at many prestigious concert halls such as Chamber Music Hall, Philharmonia Hall, Arno Babajanian Hall, in Armenia. Saint Andreas Sogns Kirke, Roskilde Domkirke and Humlebek Public Library Hall, in Denmark.
In 2008 Mr. Malkhasian was invited to play in Sweden with Joachim Saxenborn baritone, Tomas Johnsson piano and Rocio Olalde soprano at Sweden’s famous Lunds Konsthall. Mr. Malkhasian has also appeared as a soloist at the famous Malmo Museum Hall and churches in Malmo metropolitan area. He participated in Bach Festival at the St. Jacobs Church in Roskide Denmark with famous Danish organist Henrik Bjørnum. Between 2002 and 2007 Mr. Malkhasian has self produced numerous cds such as Sharing the Journey and Komitas.
In 2010, Mr. Malkhasian was invited by the Armenian Community in Seattle to play at the Saint Andrews Church for the founding stone ceremony to build a new Armenian church.
