Karen Boksian – Artist of the Month – October 2010
Our artist of the month for October is non other than Armenian singing sensation, Karen Boksian. Listening to his music, you automatically get drawn to his smooth voice and infectious style of singing. We are happy to announce a new album is in store for his fans. Karen is working diligently in the studio in Hollywood California alongside some of the most talented musicians in the business. His new single voted by his fans to be titled “Ara Vay Vay Vay” will soon make the rounds online and will also be played on Armenian Pulse Radio! Karen was born in Tbilisi, the most beautiful city in Georgia.
In his early childhood, extraordinary abilities towards music were discovered. At the age of 4 years old Karen was enlisted in the children’s chorus.When he was 6 years old he started visiting musical school for piano lessons.
At the age of 13, Karen tries himself as an author. In consequence, the song “o It Seemed To Them” enters his first album and becomes much loved by the listeners.
Already in Moscow, after completing musical school with perfection, he continued his piano studies in Music College of Moscow in addition to drum courses with one of the most exceptional specialists in that area, Genadiy Butov. Concurrent with his studies Karen was performing as a professional musician with an orchestra which involved travel to many European cities.
Shortly after his graduation in 1997 from Music College, Karen’s talents were noticed by Professor Pershing of California State University, Northridge (CSUN). After viewing Karen’s video performances, Professor Pershing invites Karen to USA for audition. Following his solo concert audition, Karen gets an official invitation to USA for continued enhancement of his music studies at California State University, Northridge.
Enormous love for the stage and his chosen profession has determined his life’s principle: using his natural abilities, to bring to perfection his goals, not stopping at the achieved and to be the best in his profession.
To Karen, Music is the way of communication with the surrounding world. In his songs he expresses his feelings and thoughts. To always be on stage, performing in front of people of different countries and ages, giving them the gift of his music, happiness and love – this is the main motivation of his life. This makes him unprecedented and unique.
To the question: “If you were to be born again, who would you want to become?” – Karen, precisely and affirmatively, answers: “A musician! Music is my air, my life, my world in which I can exist!”
