It’s been 5 months since our last recap, a lot has taken place since then. Armenian Pulse continues to make headway as the leading online site for Armenian Entertainment. There is a reason for this, we don’t believe in doing things half way, we fully understand the public’s desire to come to a site with a fully equipped showcase under broad categories. We want to thank our fans and readers for there tremendous love, support and interest, we have received hundreds of emails outlining your satisfaction and gratitude, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Armenian Pulse continues to showcase its Artists. Our Pulse Artist of the Month list has grown with a strong cast of talented Armenian performers. In recent months the honor went to Liana Faith, Charles Aznavour, Armen Chakmakian, Visa, and Harout Balyan. In selecting our latest A.O.T.M., we got the fans involved. From March 28 to March 31, we allowed our readers to vote for April’s Pulse Artist Of The Month, it was a very close race, but in the end, Harut Hagopian got the most votes with 27% of all votes. Congratulations to Harut for getting the readers choice honor! In addition, we have added the feature, Spotlight Artist, here we will showcase up and coming artists in all fields. Continue to send us your suggestions, we’re here to serve you.
Artist profiles are getting added weekly, we are now including all television, film and stage personalities. Soon we will have a separate section for high quality, well known DJ’, stay tuned. Our events calendar had a very busy end of 2009 as all the Christmas and New Years celebrations were in the works. Stars like Joseph Krikorian, Tata Simonyan, Armen Hovannissyan and Sako were just a few who gave outstanding performances at these events. The 10th annual Armenian Music Awards was a huge success at The famed Nokia Theater. From the red carpet to the stage itself, the organizers proved that Armenians can also showcase a stunning awards ceremony. On the indie front Tiffany Madadian continues to pack clubs in west hollywood, there have been 3 events by her since the last time we gave a recap. Hip Pop group Erevanski just wraped up a sucessful event at the Taglyan Cultural Complex.
The yearly Eurovision song contest made way for a controversial end to selecting Armenia’s representation. Mihran and Emmy presented a star studded support and campaign from Ricky Martin to Ken Davityan, from Christina Pepelyan to Robert Hoffman. Mihran and Emmy gave a ground breaking performance with professional dancers and a catchy radio tune. At the end, Eva Rivas, with her beautiful intoxicating vocals, was selected to represent Armenia in Oslo, Norway at this years Eurovision song contest. We wish Eva well and hope she brings the trophy and title to Armenia in 2010.
Our interviews continue to be the most popular feature, we are constantly seeking out artists who are doing exceptionally well in the industry. We had the pleasure of interviewing Madonna’s dancer, choreographer, hip hop artist and actor Mihran Kirakosian, Persian pop superstar Andy Madadian’s very talented niece, singer-songwriter Tiffany Madadian, Intercope Records very own talented artist, Tamar Kaprelian, and just a few days ago, Harout Kalandjian from Armenian Pulse sat down with Kim Kardashian exclusively to discuss her roots and her Armenian heritage. This interview with Kim Kardashian was first of its kind, never before done by any Armenian Media or Armenian News agency. Kim Kardashian featured it on her website and this created an online frenzy, the interview was splashed in over 50 major news organizations and celebrity gossip sites.
ArmenianPulse.com now has its own radio station! In just over a month, Pulse Radio has generated more listeners than its respected competitors that have been in the business for years. The reason for this is simple, We don’t just upload whole albums and just put them on rotation, Our research has tracked down all the hits and award winning titles to bring you the most enjoyable experience when listening online. Pulse Radio is the only Armenian radio station that brings you weekly Top 40 hits and has other scheduled programming. We have started Armenian Pulse Radio for only one reason, there is no other Armenian show online that satisfies the average listener when it comes to quality music, We believe that radio stations should not just be a rotating mix of dusty CD’s or playsArmenian music from only one part of the world. High Standard is always a priority at Armenian Pulse and we hope you appreciate our efforts to bring you the hottest, most comprehensive Armenian music online.
