In August 2009 Tamar announced a thirty day tour in support of The Cheesecake Factory “Hunger Action Month” benefiting “Feeding America“.
The tour coincides with the release of her second single “Delicate Soul” (available on I-Tunes)
Singer songwriter Tamar Kaprelian was born October 28th 1986 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Armenian parents. She lived her early formative years in Scottsdale and spent her early teens in Atlanta, Georgia before moving with her parents to Oak Park, California. In March 2008 she won a One Republic “Apologize” cover contest. As promised, winner Kaprelian was awarded the prize of a personalized “check her out” intro from One Republic to her video, resulting in millions of video view.
The video also brought her to the attention of talent scouts at Interscope Records. Her debut single “New Day” was brought to the attention of the producers of the hit TV series “The Hills” who featured the song in the fifth season finale. The song and its appearance in the last 3 minutes of the show during the climatic wedding sequence and departure of Lauren Conrad created quite a buzz. The song’s appearance on the “The Hills” resulted in “New Day” reaching Top 100 status on Apple iTunes TOP 100 and over a million hits on her official Myspace page.
